I just thought I would start this thread to share info on any out-of-the-ordinary screenings in London. It doesn't have to be festivals, but can also include screenings after the film has otherwise finished being shown, Q&As with directors etc. etc. Perhaps others in other locations may like to do the same.

Great idea for a thread Salopian, but do you think you can change the title of the thread so that other cities can post their special events?

For example, the Arclight in Los Angeles is going to screen Inside Man on Thurs. Feb. 15 with a Q&A afterwards with producer Brian Grazer (he won an Oscar for producing A Beautiful Mind). I'm going to see if I can make it.

My idea was to have different threads for different cities. People are only going to be interested in specific cities.

Simon Pegg and friend are signing copies of the Hot Fuzz C.D. from 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday 28th February at the Piccadilly Circus Virgin or H.M.V. (the one at 1, Piccadilly - I don't know which chain it is).

There will be a retrospective of cinematographer Cesar Charlone at Cineworld Haymarket on 18th March, featuring City of God, a short film that he has directed (previously unseen in the U.K.) and some other stuff.

The Vampires of Bloody Island premieres at the Curzon Cinema at 10.00am on Sunday, 12 August. It's billed as a private showing for Mensa members, though I may be able to obtain a ticket or two for friends who aren't members.

If you haven't heard of it, the film was made on a very low budget by a bunch of friends. There's an article about it in the June issue of Mensa Magazine (UK edition).
