This brilliant comedienne brought such joy to our lives with her unique ascerbic style. She inherited the mantle from Eve Arden, and I can't think who will fill those Golden Slippers.

Golden Golden Gone.

Woman in the Moon.

To explain this, back on Broadway in 1966 she appeared in the Original case of "Mame" and my mother had a recording of it, where Beatrice Arthur sang "The Man in the Moon is a Woman". I'll never forget it.
