O.K., thanks, and thanks for the votes so far. I am therefore assuming that I can post 10x100, but please ignore as many as you like if you disagree. I'll have a good look through your reviews too, although I think there are not many that I haven't seen before.

Am I missing something, or isn't that a combination of 6 and 7?

Sort of. If you add <White Water Summer> to the start it's the same deal.

Here's my attempt for #9:

The Big Picture<Christopher Guest>A Mighty Wind<Bob Balaban>The Majestic<Martin Landau>The Being<Dave Clark>Catch Us if You Can<Peter Nichols>Privates on Parade

Notes: Dave Clark was a 'customer in diner' in The Being.

That's equivalent to my first answers which I have since deemed to be wrong and amended. If one doesn't need to use a co-star from the specified Kevin Bacon film, then all of them are just linking to Kevin Bacon in any context, which isn't as much of a challenge.

Hey, dude ... lighten up! It's my birthday treat. There's no right or wrong way. Just get the connections. If someone else gets a different connection ... they'll get my votes, too! Party time, not party-poopy-time

OOPS - lemmy, that means I done ya wrong! So post another two pages!!

Of course, the longer convoluted ones aren't as snappy as trying to find the shortest route from Starting Film to Finishing Film. Starting film always has Kevin in it. Finishing Film always has something to do with me!!

NB Demonic ... you're definitely on the right track with Peter Nichols. If you tweak the web hard enough it will reveal to you my theatrical connection with him

PARTY TIME

Thanks anyway, but I entered hoping to get one right and help you celebrate. I got one (finally) and left the link.

Now I will leave it to other players to join in.

If one can start with any Kevin Bacon film, then one can presumably end with any Beth Porter film, and all the answers are the same except for tacking the specified films on either end. Just sayin'.

I see what you mean. But Birthday girl has spoken... and you're rolling in potential vote gain already...

I'll see if I can concoct a shorter one that has a Bacon co-star anyway out of interest.

Yup, to be honest, I don't mind if I don't get any more votes from this. I am sure that BirthdayBabe has already seen most of my reviews and I don't want her to feel obliged to vote for ones she doesn't like. (That said, I answered that one before you anyway. B.B., wouldn't you rather just vote on whoever comes up with the shortest one? I've already given one minimal one, so that could account for my votes. )

Not really ... the films are the ones I've pre-chosen. If you'd like to research some others, go right ahead, but I'm handing out votes for my 10.

And don't forget the two bonus questions need a stage play to finish them off properly ... i.e. I'm not personally connected either to Privates on Parade or Steel Magnolias, but I am connected [in a theatrical context]to people connected with those films.

Well, shorter is snappier! But as I can't feed you all birthday cake, I can slice off votes in your collective directions

Quite, so they only mean anything if one has to go via your and Bacon's co-stars in those films. If one can immediately change to another of Bacon's (or your) films, as demonic and I initially did, then any film of his(/yours) can be specified on the end without making any difference.

Anyway, it was fun.

Assuming this was for me ...

so my googling did in fact uncover a theatre link between you and Mr. Nichols, but it didn't involve Privates on Parade (instead, it involved Chez Nous). I thought PoP had to be on the other end of a chain starting with The Big Picture.

I'm confuzled.
