For us Brits of a certain age, we'll know him as the animator of Roobarb and Custard, and Henry's Cat, among others. Richard Briers, who alos died recently, was the voiceover artist for Roobarb. Bob Godfrey was also won the Oscar for the best animated short film in 1976 for Great, the first British film to do so.
