Okay, you guys can all jump on me if you don't want to do this. But the Fourum's been kinda dead lately, so I thought I'd start some trouble.

I thought of a new fun way to give and get votes. Every person gets to choose just one film that they have reviews for (Hint: Choose one you have a lot of reviews for). Post a link. Everyone goes through your reviews for that one movie and votes on your reviews for that one movie.

After we've done that, we choose a new movie each.

Want to play?

It's like putting the five reviews at the top for consideration, but based around a movie.

My choice this round is "How The Grinch Stole Christmas."

Here's a link. Not able to do the cool "name it as something else" thing. Sorry.

Damn it. I'd always trusted the original numbering and so didn't realise there were two rounds in this thread. I can't logically enter the first one, so my aim of eliminating my Did not enters has been thwarted! More importantly, when I 'corrected' the numbering from here, I did not realise that it was out by 11 instead of 10.

Oh well.

Iron Man In case anyone is wondering why I have entered these rounds now, it has just always bugged me to see Did not enter against them in my list. I don't mind if no one visits my films (although they may as well if they notice that they are in rounds that they entered): I'll still visit all the links.

Sorry Lemmy, your film choice just wooshed right over my head

It is probably better known as "Ready to Wear", directed by Robert Altman and featuring Julia Roberts, Kim Bassinger, Forest Whitaker, Tim Robbins, Sophia Loren and Danny Aiello among others. Other than that it's pretty obscure.

Tapped the voting stick on all entries to this point.

Like Randall, I don't have a lot of multiple reviews, but since i like to play, I'll jump in this round.

Cheers, Monty.

That's what I've been doing. It's a lot more work to try to go through the whole page and vote for everyone's reviews. If you like the film Chocky suggested, suggest it for yourself this round and then we'll click on it and look at your reviews for that movie.
Sound good?

OK, if thats what we're doing, so I'll just show my reviews for my chosen film, as it makes it easier to vote.

I got several votes for my reviews for the film I selected, thanks, but for another film, which Chocky selected, I have 14 reviews which didn't get a single vote between them.

Can someone explain that to me? And before you say its because they're rubbish , they have a total of 150 votes between them.

Aren't we supposed to be voting for ALL the reviews of a film or just that reviewer's reviews?

And shouldn't there be a rule about the order the reviews are shown in? Are we really going to let TFB get away with putting his reviews at the top?

Whipper, we are just voting for the reviewer's review.

You could have gotten more votes for Worst Jewish Football team if you had a link to the right page. It's much easier to give you votes here: http://www.fwfr.com/display.asp?sort=2&id=13673&Mode=&Rows=100&Start=1&do=

I suggest Monty starts a new thread on Friday. Make it a new weekly thing.

Although I prefer the 'vote for all reviews on a film' version, I think we are only voting on the reviews of the particular reviewer, hence foxy's (and now my) ordering of reviews.

Of course, there's nothing to stop us having a scurry around all the other reviews while we are there, unless someone picks Titanic ....
