There are loads of Coming to America reviews playing on Queens, but I have just noticed that the original one did not have any votes. I wonder how all the later reviewers did not see it.

I just tried "!" as a variant of my "Relationship = !" for The Dot and the Line. (It is actually just about a dot and a line, so it's not title-play only, and it's rather surprising for a dot and a line to fall in love, hence it's also a comment on the film in a similar way to the previous two examples.) However, it turns out that I had submitted it previously and so it did not 'take'.

It was proabably the only time I've broken the 'two submissions' rule, I wanted it that badly. I actually agree with it being declined, and deep down I knew when I submitted it that it had no chance, but I SO wanted it! I have a couple of other two characted reviews, but it is, apparently, impossible to sum up a film in just one letter

How interesting! I've been after the same holy grail, and actually submitted the same review for the same film, also arguing that it was both Hester's letter and my rating. Great minds!

I also tried 'Z' for HOW TO SLEEP. No go. One day we'll get there, mate.

We'll have to ask bife, obviously, but I don't think it's a reference to T4, but instead to T2, the second film's promotional title.

You got it Ali. I've been out of the UK long enough that I've never heard "T4" as a TV station or as part of Channel 4.

Yeah, of course I realised that it was alluding to T2 (it wouldn't be a valid review otherwise), but it's only a particularly good review by also being a pun. I guess it's still good even if that was accidental.

Sal - maybe that should be your next "fwfr reviewers challenge"

Nope, I'm saving that one, since it was the inspiration for the whole thing.

Thanks for the plug Sal - I have been trying 5 years to get a one-character review, and if I ever succeed I'll probably quit fwfr, I wont have anything left to give.

Sal - maybe that should be your next "fwfr reviewers challenge" (sorry, forget the precise name you use for the contest)

This awesomely short review is a reference to this, which is very well known in Great Britain.

LadyMeerkat's "Stephen King of Pop" for Ghosts

As explanation, if it doesn't immedidately inspire you: 'Ghosts' is a 'horror' video from Michael Jackson, aka King of Pop.

Voted.
Anyone notice the typo in figuromo's 'JLo's booty attacts pommie'? Attracts or attacks, I wonder?

And look...

"The dead crave brains!"
"Dead people craving brains."

Just on the principle of non-redundancy, setting aside the fact that they aren't accurate, how did both of these get approved?
