Move along ... nothing to see here ... only invisibo hintlets:
> Equus involves a psychiatrist whose patient has a bizarre relationship with horses.
> in Lars and the Real Girl, Ryan's gf is a blow-up doll
> In Stay the Course, show biz wannabes from Honduras learn to play the Hollywood game

Lemmy in for #695.
Glosses for those who want them:
Western Union: "If you want a message, call Western Union"--attributed to Louis B. Mayer.
Written on the Wind: Dorothy Malone goes platinum and sleazy here (remember her with Bogey in the bookstore in The Big Sleep?) and pursues Rock Hudson who only has eyes for Lauren Bacall.
The Last Mile: this version stars Mickey Rooney.
Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee died shortly before this opened.
Weeds: Lifer Nick Nolte writes and produces a play in the slammer. It's a hit. |

Five 10
N.B. "Barney's Version" it's about the title character's three disastrous marriages, and is based on a novel by Mordecai Richler. Nicole Kidman plays a grieving mother in "Rabbit Hole". Triple A is the highest rating that can be given by a credit rating agency to a mortgage related security, and is an important part of the oscar winning financial crisis documentary "Inside Job". Pope is the unstable and dangerous eldest uncle in "Animal Kingdom". |

Thanks to a speedy MERP I've improved and replaced my "Rabbit Hole" review after a head slapping brain wave. Someone very kindly voted on the previous incarnation before, hopefully they look again... it's better. |
