Oh, all right, then!

From left to right ...

Theo Frenkel plays the title role in this silent version of the classic Greek tale about a bloke who murders his dad and marries his mom. Those Greeks, eh!

James Whale - what a great director! Sloppy at sewing, though.

Before he played Bat Masterson, Gene Barry was Dr Clayton Forrester, who did his best to control the nasty Martians. Spelling? I know, I know - I reported it.

Speaking of aliens, The Rock is under a pressing deadline to help get those kids away from very bad men. I guess the very bad women were busy in the kitchen.

Five Feathers

NB:
Harry Faversham, the soldier branded a coward and given white feathers by his friends, is played by John Clements, Beau Bridges and Heath Ledger in the '39, '77 and '02 versions of the novel "The Four Feathers".
"Storm over the Nile" was Zoltan Korda's largely pointless remake of his own '39 version of the story.

Back for more

Population: 1 is a post-nuclear-holocaust movie. Among the cast is the artist Beck. This is his earliest credit (1986), several years before the start of his musical career (1993-4).

The original trailer for Torrente goes, "No it's not Sssssylvester Sssstallone. No it's not Ssssteven Sssseagal. It's Sssssantiago Ssssegura..." (The Spanish apparently like their 'S'es )
And Torrente is the cult Spanish dark comedy about a chauvinist, racist, dirty cop to name a few of his "qualities".
The movie goes pretty overboard (as do the sequels). People who liked Superbad might like it, so you could check trailers on Youtubus.

The Brothers Bloom, as its name might suggest, is full of references to Joyce’s Ulysses. (It’s shite.)

The Infidel concerns a Semitic identity crisis: adopted Mahmud Nasir discovers he’s really Solly Shimshillewitz.

Turrell's 622.

I am feeling slightly re-invigorated FWFR-wise - may be the book coming out, but I am thinking of reviews all the time and occasionally remembering to write them down or put them in the site.
