FOUR YOUR CONSIDERATION - TREASURE HUNT

Put any five reviews you like in your F.Y.C. list.
Do not use reviews from the previous round - you must change them every round.
Post here to declare that you've done it. Sooner is better than later.
Provide a spoiler warning in your post when appropriate.
You must read the F.Y.C.s of all participants.
The next round starts on Monday or Thursday at 6:00 a.m. FWFR time, whichever comes next.

In a tiny piece of colored glass
My love was born
And reds and golds and yellows
Were the colors in the dawn
Night brought on its purple cloak
Of velvet to the sky
And the girls were wheeling, spinning
On Jersey Thursday

Including my first tribute, to the irrepressible GHCool.

Hintlets:
Always: A remake of a great Spencer Tracy film, A Guy Named Joe. This time, Stephen Spielberg directs Richard Dreyfuss as Pete Sandich, who still loves his girl. Audrey Hepburn makes her last film appearance as Hap.

Canadian Bacon: The U.S. President, low in the opinion polls, gets talked into raising his popularity by trying to start a cold war against Canada. Blame Canada was a song in the South Park film.

Evan Almighty: God (Morgan Freeman) taps Evan to build an ark.

I’m in.

The only hint that you may need: - In The Incredibles, the real names of Mr. and Mrs. Incredible are Bob and Helen Parr and most of the film has the subtext of how they do as parents.

Thursday's children

For the uninformed:
  • The movie Lucky Luciano is about the real gangster of that name, whose extradition to Sicily made him really bad.
  • If the Shoe Fits stars Jennifer Gray (better known as Baby from Dirty Dancing) as plain Kelly Carter who is magically turned into footwear designer Prudence by a good fairy.
  • In the movie Casanova, Jeremy Irons plays a Spanish Inquisitor.

Thursday's 5, all newbies.

Hints, as if you really need them:

The Blue Lamp: Dirk Bogarde is the criminal on the run. "Old Bill" is slang for the Police
Carry on up the Khyber: Refers to the dinner party scene at the end of the movie, during which the Governer's residence is under attack. Joan Sims is a) drinking and b) having bits of ceiling falling down around her.

please add your contribution to my vote collection

hintlets:
East Of Eden places J. dean in a rural setting, doing a bit of farming. A bit!

Cannon Movie Tales: Puss In Boots is an animated film featuring Chris Walken in the title role.

Kindergarten Cop: Arnold S goes undercover as a kindergarten teacher on a potentially dangerous case.

Love Bakery: in Scotland one kind of bread is called 'pan', baked in a loaf tin. Name derived from French - pain.

Turistas: & speaking of white bread the gringos of the title lose more than inhibitions on their Brazilian trip.

Hey, the boy's on time this round!

4/5 Livie! I just couldn't bring myself to vote for your Always review, as it is my all-time favorite film. (I do realize I'm in the vast minority on that one, though!)

Thank you, and I'll forgive you. Everyone is allowed a loss of taste once in while!! (Actually, it wasn't THAT bad. Audrey Hepburn was lovely and ethereal as always. I am just not that fond of Richard Dreyfuss and had some difficulty accepting him in a role that had Spencer Tracy so clearly stamped all over it. But I did like Holly's girl clothes!)
