MIHAI - Monty's "I have an Idea"

For those of you with multiple reviews for one movie try your luck and post them here!!

If you don't have multiples just post one you think deserves an airing.

Next round starts next wednesday at 9am FWFR Time.

My first time

Hi all, I am not sure how to do the fancy selection of just my reviews for a specific film. Explanations gratefully received. I bet you have covered this one before! In the meantime, my reviews for this fabulous film are sorted to the top of the list.

Cheers,

Zulu

At the end of the URL, it standardly has ...Rows=100&Start=1&do= You need to change the 'rows' number to the number of reviews and the start number to the number that the first review comes on the standard page (by whatever ordering is being used). In your case and anti-alphabetical ordering by reviewer name, the latter number will always be 1, so you won't need to alter it anyway. However, you now don't need to do any of this as you can just choose 'My reviews only' from the drop-down list.

Okay. I'm so excited. Here for the first time (without help from other posters) are my reviews only for -- The Birds.

http://www.fwfr.com/display.asp?uid=617&id=792&Mode=&Sort=1&Rows=100&Dir=1&Start=1

Now, if I could only do that cool, naming the link something else thing you guys all do.

It's like this:

blah blah blah

but use double inverted commas instead of single (shown in red) like so:

blah blah blah

That Naming Thing [we all do]
1. Type in the word or phrase you want to act as a link and highlight it. Please do NOT tell me you don't know how to do that
2. Look up. See that blue planet-like blob with what looks like a paper-clip but is supposed to be a chain link? Click it.
3. You will now see the following except that I'm substituting [] with () otherwise you won't see the result:

(url)The text you have just typed. And highlighted. Highlit? (/url)
4. Place your cursor just after the letter 'l' of url and just before the ']' now type in an equals sign plus two double quotes ... like this (url="")
5. Highlight the url of the page you want to link to ... in the case of your most recent MIHAI it would be
http://www.fwfr.com/display.asp?uid=617&id=792&Mode=&Sort=1&Rows=100&Dir=1&Start=1
6. Copy the link.
7. Position your cursor between the double set of quotes just after the equals sign you just made and paste in the link url - between the quote marks. Like this - except that I'm substituting [] with () otherwise you won't see the result:
(url="http://www.fwfr.com/display.asp?uid=617&id=792&Mode=&Sort=1&Rows=100&Dir=1&Start=1")

So, now your code should look like this:
Okay. I'm so excited. Here for the first time (without help from other posters) are my reviews only for --
(url="http://www.fwfr.com/display.asp?uid=617&id=792&Mode=&Sort=1&Rows=100&Dir=1&Start=1")The Birds(/url)

OKAY?!! Try it!

Brought to you by url link coding made simple
