FOUR YOUR CONSIDERATION - TREASURE HUNT

Sean says:
Put any five reviews you like in your F.Y.C. list.
The only rule is to not use the ones from the previous round - you must change them every round.
Post here to declare that you've done it.
Sooner is better than later.
You must read the F.Y.C.s of all participants.
The next round starts on Monday or Thursday at 6:00 a.m. FWFR time, whichever comes next.

Please Sir, I want some more.

Some slight explanations:

The Battleship Potemkin review has a couple levels to it. It could be interpreted as Eisenstein making a film based on historical events, or making film history. The famous sequence is, of course, the Odessa Steps sequence.

In American Dreamz, an Iraqi terrorist living in the US becomes a contestant on an 'American Idol'-type show.

Double 007 is also known is OK Connery. In it, Neil Connery plays a character named Neil Connery.

For a change I have not just followed on alphabetically from my last FYC's but I did a bit of cherry picking.

I hope you like my cherries...

Rundown on the movies in this FYC. A certain FWFRer runs for 10 minutes, while Eddie Murphy has only got 48 hours to help Nicolas Cage solve a murder in a snuff movie. Also a dismembered ear shows suburbia as a horrific place, but for light relief, there is some MILF going on.

A mixed bag this round.

A couple of musical references - Queen (sing the review!) and Bob Marley (one definition of Zion = An idealized, harmonious community; utopia).

I hope someone likes the South Park one - based on this quote - as it is one of my favourite movies.

One of these reviews references "It's a Wonderful Life"

I'm low on subtle today.

By the way, these are five wonderful reviews and I'd appreciate it if you would vote for all of them. Thanks.

Oh, and just in case you've forgotten, when Gittes's nose is cut in Chinatown, it's done by the director, Roman Polanski, playing a cameo role. (Although why anyone should mistake him for a brooch I have no idea )

Im in again.

The only explanation needed is for Kurt & Courtney, which is a documentary about Kurt Cobain, the singer who blew his brains out with a gun.
