Five recent forays into the strange and macabre...
NB: Semi-spoilers in my reviews for "The Silent House" and "The Skin I Live In" - with big explanatory spoilers concealed below....
In "The Silent House" - Laura loses her mind and imagines the events of the film having been previously repeatedly abused and photographed. In "The Skin I Live In" - Vera turns out to have previously been a young man forced to have sexual realignment surgery.
Also, the alien in Spielberg homage "Super 8" has a taste for human beings. |

Late, and short on explanations.
Exception:
In The Rite, one demon requiring exorcism is named Ba'al. So I read up on Ba'al and it's basically one of those old gods mocked by Hebrews and who Christianity and Milton turned into a demon.
The reason I mention this is to ask, is it just me, or does Ba'Al resemble the Prince of Wales? |
