Wow. As is my standard policy I saw this without any clue of the genre or participants. I found it really gripping, but/and I totally believed that it was a genuine documentary. I read about it afterwards and saw that they said it was a mockumentary. Personally, I'm not convinced. I didn't look into it in great detail, but I think there's every possibility that Phoenix just realised he had made a big mistake and decided to pass it off as a performance. I won't feel sure either way until I see footage of them at the start planning it as a mockumentary. If it is though, it's possibly even better than if it were real.
