I would say it was no problem, but thanks to 123-Reg it's been one of the most stressful weeks I've have in quite some time. I'm just glad to have you all back on the site- cheers for sticking by during this troublesome time. I'm extremely happy with the new host (GoDaddy) and I think we'll be alright whatever happens from now on  |

I forgot to mention the finale to this whole escapade. A short while after I copied all the fwfr data off the old server's hard drive the hard drive disappeared from view on the new server.
The disk occaisionally reappears but has since been described by 123-Reg support as "making a worrying noise" and, even when it does appear, no data can be copied off it. Basically, the old disk died less than an hour after I got fwfr's data off it.
I feel like Indiana Jones diving under the closing stone door AND grabbing my hat  |

Have you severed all ties with them now? Can we write to them?
By the way, was benj.com on the same server? I tried e-mailing you and BaftaBabe and the message failed, but when I forwarded it just to her it was fine. |

I've still to cancel the account but they no longer have anything of value to me. I'm saving the cancellation phone call for the perfect moment- sat on a comfy sofa with a mug of tea and a selection of delicious biscuits.

Yep- my mail was being picked up on that server so when it went down I lost my email too. I've wisely separated the site from my email now so in the event of anything bad you'll still be able to email me asking what's happening and I'll still be able to email you back to say I've no idea. |
