I will approach this from a mature point of view and take blame for my actions.
I have been petty and a little foolish and would hate that my return to the site, which I left due to events here, have affected other members of the site whom I do and I don't know directly.
I did change my name twice, it was a temporary measure and have now gone back to my original.
My own personnal opinion is that I am guilty to a degree and would hate, and I know hate is a very powerful word, Hate to lose members on behalf of my or anyone elses arguing.
I will cease all disagreements I will wipe the slate clean and apologise to any whom I have offended including Salopian.
I do not want Bife, or anyone else, to leave or even be avoiding fourum due to my actions.

I will not be leaving te site or fourum, but I will strongly moderate my posts.

I see I've been named as an accessory here. Bife - I hope you don't leave man. I'm the same as you, I come here for a bit of fun and to discuss a range of topics with bright and interesting people. I have, however, found it difficult to not react when my viewpoint, grammar, reviews or specialist subjects are criticised or contradicted. I probably shouldn't but, like Whipper, I stand up for myself when attacked (as I have been again in thread).
The fact is though that every argument on this fourum involves Salopian. Now don't get me wrong, I think Sal has contributed a huge amount to this site, more than I ever could, but until he changes his attitude there will always be a reaction from other members. So the solution to this acrimony lies with him and him alone. |

| Should there be anyone using the site who annoyed me, I would take the Zen solution and just ignore them. I would pretend that their posts simply didn't exist. If this ever happened in the real world, my decision would both lance the boil, and also make reading potentially noxious threads much easier, and quicker. |

I hadn't looked in the Reviews section for about a year, but when I heard about this fracas I had a look through some of the active FYCTH threads. To say I quickly became bored out of my skull is putting it mildly. I know I do have a short attention span (unless I'm watching a good movie), but man, I really struggled to concentrate while wading through the cesspit of irrelevant, self-important pedantry that has taken over that part of the fourum.
BiggerBoat: You're right, Salopian does seem to be a common factor in the 'arguments', but it takes two to tango, bro. And when someone wants to tango here there never seems to be a shortage of willing partners. I can only assume if someone is half of a tango that they either think it's important to tango, or that they enjoy it. All I can say about long-running fourum tango performances is  (yeah, that it's time for me to eat my mobile phone).
BTW, all I do on fwfr these days is keep an eye on the Films section, pornolise the innocent, obituarise the living and penguinise everything else. And read every word of a MguyX rant, of course. I'm not going anywhere just yet.  |
