Yes: the MERPs are in fact on holiday. I received a postcard from several of them (that's right, a single postcard from several -- the cheap bastards) that came from Nassau. They plan on visiting Fiji next.  |

Unfortunately, it seems the Chinese MERPs are blowing away the competition. They've set records for nearly all the submission-to-approval time events, and the Americans and Brits aren't able to keep up.
I think that Benj will really have to put the MERPs through some grueling practices if they are to get to the medal round.

Well, gee, have you seen his daily schedule? Get up, eat, swim, cool down, work out, eat, swim, get a gold medal, give his mom the flowers, take a piss test, do an interview, swim, cool down, swim, cool down, eat, get a gold medal, give his sister the flowers, take a piss test, work out, swim, eat, sleep. And that's before noon.
But really, yes, he did look a bit tired, though he said in an interview that he actually was having problems with his goggles leaking water during the race, so he was sort of swimming blind. It didn't effect much, except to give false hope to the guy who was 3 seconds behind him.
Phelps is amazing, and he's only what? 23?? It will be interesting to see what he can accomplish when he grows up.

Well, right now his schedule, according to him, is eat, swim, sleep; But I doubt he gets much sleep with the shittin' he must be doin' on a 9,000 calorie/day diet they have him on, yet he just keeps churnin' out those golds, but...
Did you notice how upset he was after the 200 fly? Yep, he's gettin' tired, but he won't falter(I believe that), 'cuz he knows there will be plenty of time to rest after his post-Olympic interviews and all the cash that will follow... Ah, if I had that kind of cash waitin' for me, what would I put up with?
I'd let PKMN into my house to tell me rumors about the MERPs, I'd let Rosie O'Donnell chew on my couch, I'd let Donald Trump tell me my hair was messed up, I'd let Paris Hilton lick my t'aint(well, I'd probably do that anyway), I'd let Al Gore explain Global Warming to me in terms I could finally understand, I'd let Sean Penn explain 'the war' to me in terms that Al Gore could understand, and so on... |
