... and it was just accepted! I'm so proud. It is this one for The Fantastic Four and he did it as part of his project for English. Now, that may not seem like much to you, but he has a learning disability which makes it difficult for him to summarize things - he has a problem picking the essential things out from the non-essential things and getting to the essence. That he thought of this review was, I thought, a really great achievement for him. I'm trying to get him to join up on his own but so far, no go.

Well, he's 18 but he's a very young 18 and his learning disabilities make him seem even younger. It may not seem much to you guys, but it a pretty good think to me.

It does seem much to me - at 18, I could not have summarised a thing in four words.

I think that's cool. I gave it a vote too.

I think it would be great if your son joined up - I've always thought the FWFR site was a great way to get the brain ticking over and kill half an hour or so in a fun way ... just like doing a crossword puzzle.

Why don't you show this thread to your son, so can read some encouraging words?

Congrats to you and your son. I also have a special needs child - he has Asperger's syndrome - who inspired one of my favorite reviews. He asked one time "Did you ever notice that the word "ill" when capitalized looks like the Roman number 3?" I hadn't but realized if I applied this to the right film, it would make a brilliant review. Everybody here has probably already voted for it, but just in case...

Well, I tried, but he's not biting just yet.

Still, now that his review has gotten 11 votes... you never know!

And think of it - 11 Votes. That's just amazing. I know you guys wouldn't vote on it if you didn't like it so I'm really thrilled about this.

(Of course, my son is suddenly feeling a bit smug about his 11 votes when he sees how many of my reviews only get a handful of votes. Cheeky!)

Yeah, I got that one already. Cool that your son gave you the inspiration.
