Where do you get you inspiration for some of the reviews that you come up with?
As some of you know its winter in the USA. I live in Pennsylvania, one of the worst places to be around winter. Here sometimes we need remote controlled starters to start our cars. To warm them up before we leave.
Driving around one day, I drove by a garage. They were selling remote controlled starters. But their sign was missing a few letters. This is where I got the inspriation for my newest Spider-Man 3 review. Instead of them selling Remote controlled starters for cars. They were selling "Emo controlled Cars"
And then a light went on on the top of my head. Spider-Man 3!!!!!! |

!! Reminds me of a sign on a pretty run-down hotel near Belfast, well-known for housing a gaggle of elderly people: originally named The Belgravia, two missing letters inappropriately rendered it: The el ravia
I get lots of inspiration from doing crossword puzzles - the American kind, 'cause even after living here for 40 years I've never gotten used to the UK kind ... or, apparently, to saying got for the past tense of get

Actually, I do get inspiration from the proper kind. Cryptic crossword clues often lend themselves to packing a lot of information in, or simply being off the wall. Hence C.P.'s awesome "Stallone's all into Stone" is one of my favourite reviews.
Nice review, T'Pa.
Lately, I have decided to plough through and try to achieve my Salopian's Cine File accolades. I have never tried to achieve an accolade before, but it seemed reasonable that I should get those ones. So it's not exactly a source of inspiration, but one can always come up with a review with some angle or other for a specified film. I'll delete some of the reviews later as I think of better ones. |

Most of my FWFRs are the titles of articles I read in entertainment magazines. |

When I see a movie I automatically start thinking about what fwfr I can write about it. (What can I say - I'm addicted.)
Once in a while I'll hear or read a phrase and think... "wait, maybe I can turn that into a fwfr" and then go looking for a film to match it. |
