TA:MOU = Themed Anniversary: Moving On Up
The Rules
Each Tuesday a theme will be decided based on the Anniversary of some significant event. All you have to do is trawl your reviews for any that relate to that event and post them here with a link.
You can post as many as you wish, so long as either the film or your review clearly relates to the theme. You can only post during the week of the current TA:MOU.
You don't have to say you voted unless you really want to - but you are expected to visit all the links posted.
ON THIS DAY:
June 5th, choose one of the following:
1851--Harriet Beecher Stowe published the first instalment of Uncle Tom's Cabin. Any reviews of films dealing with slavery in all its ugly dimensions are eligible (i.e. not restricted to the U.S.).
1878--Francisco 'Pancho' Villa is born. Films set at least partly in Mexico qualify here.
1900--British troops under Lord Roberts seize Pretoria from the Boers. Show us your reviews for films set all or partly in South Africa.
To isolate a review for a film in the new site first choose the "mine" filter on the film page, then hold the mouse button down over your review for two seconds - the address for your review will then drop down which you can right click to copy and paste. [/quote] |
