TA:MOU = Themed Anniversary: Moving On Up
The Rules
Each Tuesday a theme will be decided based on the Anniversary of some significant event. All you have to do is trawl your reviews for any that relate to that event and post them here with a link.
You can post as many as you wish, so long as either the film or your review clearly relates to the theme. You can only post during the week of the current TA:MOU.
You don't have to say you voted unless you really want to - but you are expected to visit all the links posted.
ON THIS DAY:
April 17th, choose one of the following:
In 1897 the Aurora UFO Incident occurred in Texas - supposedly our first reported contact of alien life. Let's see your reviews of films featuring extraterrestrial contact on earth.
In 1918 actor William Holden was born - review his films.
In 1949 the Republic of Ireland was established when 26 Irish counties left the British Commonwealth. Let's see your films set in Ireland.
In 1967 the U.S. Supreme Court barred Muhammad Ali's request to be blocked from induction into the U.S. Army. If you think you can be a contender, put up your dukes and your reviews for any films that have a boxing theme.
For those interested, but unsure of the method - to isolate a review for a film in the new site first choose the "mine" filter on the film page, then hold the right mouse button down over your review for two seconds - the address for your review will then drop down which you can right click to copy and paste. |

Voted on yours, Lemmy. Faves include "Ruhlin Clash" (which already had my vote) and "Pugilist Sullivan's Travails." Like your review for Hitchcock's The Ring, too.
