The grandfather and father, and the actors of the father and son, all have the same given name.

Spoiler for Where Do We Go Now? (a bit more vaguely in the review): The women of the community all change their households from Christianity to Islam or vice versa to put an end to the men's conflict.

Spoiler for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (much less explicitly in the review): The missing girl kept a coded list of her family's victims that she had discovered. (This review may seem similar to my previous one, but as well as having a different meaning it does not pun on the same thing.)

Food for thought

Leftovers

Notes!
Spoiler for Bad Lieutenant, in which Keitel bets much money on Darryl Strawberry and the Dodgers.
Tideland follows a young girl who stages strange conversations between her Barbie dolls' heads.
In Mildred Pierce, a mother waits tables and sells homemade pies, much to the chagrin of her daughter who desires an extravagant lifestyle.
Kurosawa's professor in Madadayo downs a beer each year at his birthday party to celebrate his life and endurance.
In Ben-Hur, Heston works as a galley slave.

Thanks for the votes Canklefetish...

I, too, have voted to here and will check back later.
Checked back and voted.

This site's about as user-friendly as a rusty Mach-3 razor blade upon a burly mug

Though, I can definitely appreciate the countless hours Benj must've put into the new layout....

Voted to here, with many more to come, I should think...

Recent and forthcoming

NB:
In "Breathing" a young offender gets a second chance working as an undertaker.
Gareth Evans directed Indonesian action flick "The Raid".
Carey Mulligan is playing Daisy in the new "Great Gatsby".
Leonardo Dicaprio is playing plantation owner Calvin Candie in Tarantino's "Django Unchained".

now & then

In Read My Lips Paul & Carla plan a dangerous robbery that depends on her lip-reading ability.
In The Adversary Jean-Marc Faure has pretended all his adult life to be a doctor working for the World Health Organisation.

Thanks to demonic for the 4 last time.
