- Provide a spoiler warning in your post when appropriate.
- You must read the F.Y.C.s of all participants.
- The next round starts on Monday or Thursday at 6:00 a.m. FWFR time, whichever comes next.
- The initiator of the next round will name the thread "FYCTH - #***" or "Sean's FYCTH - #***", "***" is one integer greater than the number of the current round. Yeah that 'spoiler' isn't exactly a shock but I prefer to give a warning just in case.
Hadn't seen boydegg's one but have given it a vote now.
Neither of the Mean Girls ones got enough votes so I just deleted both. Solved that problem!

V+V. Favourite set this round was Larry's.

Cheers, 1matt1!

I'm a stickler for spoiler warnings, but I think that plot point can be taken as a total given in such a film! However, the same idea had already been used here.(Google also found another result but it doesn't seem to be on the site any more.)

Tangled is Disney's take on Rapunzel.

Very nice, especially for me as I associate the two stories because of this review.

I couldn't decide which Mean Girls review was better so I'll delete the one that gets the least votes.

They're both good, but I'll vote once you decide, in case you end up disowning rather than deleting one. Your Mean Girls 2 one is also very satisfyingly contorted.

Viewted.

(Cheers, ChLady -- liked your "Gable's Day in school"

Yes, I liked it too. It was a little bit cheesy but was loyal to the book as far as I remembered it (a very important factor for me in adaptations).

(1) 'Fraid not, even though I have seen it.

(2) Damn it, I fell for it again. I assumed that Jack Black in Gulliver's Travels in the Orange sponsorship segment was not a real project, just like I did with The A-Team. This is obviously the way they're going now: I wonder how much a film pays for that exposure.

1) No matter.

2) Stranger than fiction, isn't it? I really doubt I'd go see this movie, no matter how much they paid for that exposure. Did you see the mini-series that Ted Danson did of the story? I'm no huge Danson fan but this was really well done - far more true to the original Swift book than any other to date. After that, why would I bother watching any other version?

In The Host, the Park family (spoiler, much more vaguely in the second review) kill the monster.

The water nymph-like creature in Lady in the Water is a narf.

A Scanner Darkly was written and directed by Richard Linklater.

Essentially Eighties.

NB:
Marlee Matlin plays a deaf woman who refuses to speak in "Children of a Lesser God".
Aughra is a prophet character in "The Dark Crystal" who can remove and control her one eye independently.
